Dr. Jayanta Choudhuri is the founder of QTEK Gulf FZE, a consultancy focusing on technology in the field of construction and building chemicals. The company provides consultation in product development, quality management, environmental issues, manufacturing processes, technical matters, and market research for investors. QTEK Gulf FZE is based in the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Choudhuri received his PhD in Chemistry from Calcutta University (India) in 1990, specializing in "Photochemistry of Anthraquinone and Phenanthraquinone in Different Solvents."

He began his career as a chemist at a Swiss (Sika) joint venture construction chemical company in India, where he worked for 10 years. He then moved to the Middle East, where he worked as R&D and Technical Manager for Sika and MBT-SKW (now BASF) for 17 years in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. Later, he worked in Denmark as the Head of R&D at Sika Denmark.

In 2012, Dr. Choudhuri started his own consultancy, offering services to leading companies worldwide, including Sika India, Tata Chemicals, Boston Consulting, GLG, Cognolink-Third Bridge, Ahlia Chemicals, Honeywell, and Laticrete International.

His expertise includes developing new formulations tailored to local conditions and price requirements, designing custom polymers for use in products, cost optimization, advising on manufacturing processes and equipment, and providing guidance on regulatory requirements (e.g., REACH and carbon footprint).

In recent years, he has worked on 3D Printable Mortar and associated applications, developing several formulations for various projects in the Middle East.

With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Choudhuri has contributed to the development of many new products for medium to large-scale projects across various countries and has advised clients on a range of technical issues.

Why should you view this course?

Establishing the compatibility between the mortar and the 3D printing equipment while keeping quality control measures and standardized testing procedures in mind is challenging yet crucial. Ensure consistency in material properties, layer adhesion, and overall performance in your 3D-printed mortar for widespread adoption of the technology.

Skip the expensive and time-consuming trial and error by obtaining the proper methodology to develop the correct formula for mortars used in 3D-printed houses. Learn from our industry experts about the exciting realm of 3D printing and how to create specialized mortar formulations tailored to various climatic conditions.

Join this course to:

  1. Gain a profound understanding of mortar composition, exploring the synergy of materials to create robust and adaptable formulations.

  2. Discover innovative materials and additives that enhance the performance and sustainability of 3D-printed structures.

  3. Understand the correct tests (Compressive, Flexural, Tensile, Shear...) to ensure the structural integrity and durability of the printed structures.
